Redneck Weddings! Gets into the Hoboken International Film Festival May 30th to June 5th

Hi Everyone,

I have been busy with so many things and as I write on my blog I don’t know where to start.   Ha!  I want to thank everyone who continues to share this blog and follow it.  People say that I have a lot of passion, drive and heart I have learned that when you follow your heart you can never go wrong in anything that you tried to accomplish.  I know that sounds corny but sometimes what your parents or grandparents tell you it never goes out of fashion.  I guess I am an old soul.  I like old music I think I wrote about that on another post that Sammy Davis Jr and Frank Sinatra is what I like to hear.  It brings me back to my childhood and my memory of my Godmother and may I say my Mother who use to sing those songs back in the day.  My mother was my biggest fan and always encouraged me to continue even when things seem bleak.    I am so use to “No” that when something good happens I get like “Wow” this is happening to me?   So, as I ramble now I remember now what I wanted to tell you…

I guess you can now call me a published writer.  I am on a new online magazine called No Strings Attached. This online magazine is getting some great attention.  It’s about everything, travel, entertainment, News stories etc.    If you like my commentary I know you will like these two articles.  It’s great fun to write and they also say write what you know.  There are two subjects that I love acting and my dog Athena.

Here are some links:

A film that I worked on as an actress called Wheels got accepted into the Newport Beach Film Festival this past month.

Here is the trailer:  https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=733561516675212

I also want to let you know that the Hoboken International Film Festival has accepted my TV Pilot Redneck Weddings.  Like Sally Field’s once said as she accepted her Oscar “They like me they like me they REALLY Like ME!”  It is under TV Pilots.  Hoboken International Film Festival is one of the top ten festivals in the USA.   The festival is May 30th to June 5th.   This will mark the debut for Redneck Weddings at a film festival.  It is in the running to be voted a nominee for best TV Pilot!  Let’s hope.

The screening will be on June 1st at 4 pm at the Paramount Theatre in Middletown NY.  So, anyone out there who would like to see it on the big screen feel free to come on by.  Tickets are very reasonable cheaper than a movie.

So there you go.

Redneck Weddings TV Show Holy Cow!!! A Music Video Called Redneck Weddings!

Holy Cow! Summer is here already!

I hope everyone is having a great summer! Summer always brings people together! Cookouts, walks on the lake or swimming it’s a time to spend with the family or that special someone. I have been having a good summer so far! So much so, I wanted to share my new music video that we did called “Redneck Weddings”.

In my last post, I mentioned that it was coming out and we were working on it. Presto! Here it is. Rob Valle a great songwriter and musician! He wrote this song “Redneck Weddings” after seeing the pilot presentation “Meet the Characters”.

Rob Valle

Rob was so inspired watching the presentation “Meet the Characters” that he wrote this song in twenty minutes. This song is a gift, a love note to my show Redneck Weddings. As I have said, in past blogs about this show “music” is key. This show needs a lot of music because it is just a fun show like the old TV shows of the past.

I remember the TV shows of the 80’s that theme song would come on and you knew right away without looking at the TV set what show was on. Theme songs are so important they brand the show and hopefully captured the tone or mood of the show.

I want to thank you Rob on such a great job and giving the show more life and your belief in the show “Redneck Weddings”.

Redneck Weddings! Never a Dull Moment!

Hi Everyone, Thanks so much for your support. I enjoy your comments and feedback and the love that everyone has for this comedy Redneck Weddings.

As promised updates are in order. It has been a little while since I have written something on my blog. So many things and changes that I sometimes feel like I am in my own movie! LOL.

So, I will let you know that Redneck Weddings now a shoppers agreement with a production company called Panda Propaganda here in Los Angeles. Which means that my little show will be shopped around to see if it can actually get a home a good cable or internet home that is right for the project.

Also I just got done filming a new documentatry called “Luck Be a Lady” by Kevin Silva. He has been working on this project for over a year and was such a great sport he interviewed me about my experiences working in a Wedding Chapel. You know I mentioned Redneck Weddings.

What else? Oh we are going to put together a little music video for the show. Yes that right. A very catchy great country song was written for the show. Bob Valle has written and did the vocals for this very funny song. So we are going to put together a music video with the footage of the show, Bob singing and playing the banjo, guitar and drums along with additional footage that was shot of just me running around in a wedding dress as Breesy Carson one of the characters in the show.
